Insulating Riser
Use:
To achieve increased feeding efficiency and extended solidification time for the riser metal.
Characteristics at a glance:

- Nature: Non wetting, Non hygroscopic
Chemical Properties:
Al2O3 - 25% to 35%
- SiO2 - 65% to 75%

Advantages:
- 1. Extends the solidification time of feeder by 2 – 2.5 times
compared to conventional risers and thereby reduces feed metal
requirement.
- 2. Reduces contact area , thereby reduces fettling cost.
- 3. Consistent thermal and physical properties.
- 4. Resist devitrification at elevated temperatures.
- 5. Unusually low conductivity at high temperatures.
- 6. Does not generate fumes thereby prevent Pollution.
