Use:
Provides additional feed metal to produce good castings, avoiding shrinkage in the Riser.
Characteristics at a glance:
- Colour: Black to gray
- Grading: - 8 + 100 mesh.
- Moisture: 1% to 1.5% Max.
- Density: 1 to 1.75 gm /cc
- Recovery: 25% to 40 % feed metal.
Chemical Properties:
- Base: Al203;
- Free Al : 15% – 20%
