EXOCOTE – GW 300
A ready-for-use water based Graphite wash
Use:
EXOCOTE GZW - 300 is a ready-for-use mixed refractory wash that has excellent application properties and gives exceptionally good casting finish. It is suited for dry sand, no bake and cement sand backgrounds and for most metal poured (including steel)
PROPERTIES
- EXOCOTE GW - 300 has excellent suspension characteristics eliminating the need for machine mixing before application.
- EXOCOTE GW - 300 has high filler to carrier ratio enabling better coverage and shorter drying times.
- EXOCOTE GW - 300 gives an even, smooth and well adherent thick layer of refractory filler on the mould/core surface in a single application.
Advantages:
- 1. No dilution —saves substantially on time, labour and material wastage.
- 2. Faster drying - saves on drying time and oven costs.
- 3. Reduces rejections due to blow holes as the dried coating layer evolves negligible gases during pouring and does not rehydrate on storage.
- 4. Eliminates sand fusion to ensure a smooth casting surface and minimises fettling costs.
Instructions For Use:
Brush directly [rom can. Where necessary, spray after diluting 4 parts of EXOCOTE GW - 300 with I part of water.
